On November 6 and 7, the police and gendarmes from Brasov carried out actions to increase school safety in the premises and in the areas adjacent to the „Radu Negru” National College and the „Aurel Vijoli” Technological High School in Făgăraș municipality, as well as in Codlea municipality at the „Ioan Pascu” Theoretical High School and the Gymnasium No. 2. The activities aimed to create a safe and educational climate, by reducing violence, absenteeism and risky behaviors in the school environment and were carried out in an integrated system, with the participation of police officers from the School Safety Office, the Făgăraș Municipality Police, the Codlea Municipality Police, the Criminal Service, through the Canine Police Department, as well as gendarmes from the Brașov County Gendarmerie Inspectorate.
- „,, The mixed teams organized preventive activities, where essential topics such as avoiding risky behaviors, vulnerable situations to which students may be exposed at school, at home or on the street were addressed, about interaction with strangers, the group of friends, respectively safety in the online environment, the physical, psychological and legal consequences associated with acts of violence or bullying/cyberbullying. Also, the police officers from the School Safety Office held meetings with principals, members of the committees for preventing and combating violence and school counselors, in order to inform and guide them on the legal measures that can be taken in the event of identifying students with maladaptive behavior in the school environment. At the same time, the areas adjacent to the mentioned schools were checked, in order to identify students who are absent from classes and controls were carried out to prevent and combat the marketing of tobacco products, energy drinks and alcoholic beverages to minors. Meda and Ares are the police dogs that were part of the forensic police team and had a significant role, both in preventing and combating crime, and in offering unique moments to Brașov students. Through the presence of law enforcement in the school environment, the police aim to strengthen trust, respect and collaboration between students, teachers and state institutions, and such activities will continue to be carried out constantly in pre-university education units in Brașov county,” IJP Brașov communicates.
