Romania’s national team coach, Cosmin Contra, has called up 25 players for the first team matches against Montenegro (September 7) and Serbia (September 10) in the Nations League. The Romanian national team squad is as follows:

The Romanian national football team will face Montenegro in the first match of Group 4 of the Nations League on September 7, at 9:45 p.m., in Ploiesti, Romania. On September 10, at 9:45 p.m., Romania will face Serbia in the same competition at Partizan Stadium in Belgrade. The winners of the Nations League groups will advance to the next edition’s higher league, with the bottom teams relegated to the lower league. The draw for the Euro 2020 qualifiers will take place on December 2, 2018. The six pots will be determined exclusively based on the performances in the Nations League groups. In the Romanian series, the winners of the four groups along with the two best second-place finishers will be in the third pot for the Euro 2020 qualifiers. The other teams will be in the fourth pot. The Euro 2020 qualifiers take place between March and November 2019. The best-placed teams in the four groups in Series C of the Nations League, which have not already qualified for Euro 2020 through the qualifiers, advance to the Nations League play-offs (March 2020).
The 4 play-off teams will play the semi-finals in a single leg (on the field of the team with the better ranking in the Nations League groups), and the finalists will play in a single leg (the host will be drawn by lot). The winner qualifies for Euro 2020.
