The World Karate Championship, based on the JSKA system, organized in Matsuyama, Japan, began on November 1st of this year. Today, November 2nd of this year, the students trained by Sensei Ioan Rîmbeț from CSM Făgăraș, achieved their first notable results through the athlete from Făgăraș, Alexia Tănăsescu, who obtained the silver medal in Kata (NR – imaginary, demonstrative fight, with several opponents) juniors, 16-17 years old.
- ” Our athlete’s performance was impeccable, her desire was fantastic and the reward was worth it, ” said Ioan Rîmbeț, athlete-coach at CSM Făgăraș.
Tomorrow, November 3, the seniors’ events will take place. Romania ranked second on the podium, after Japan, and Russia ranked third. Congratulations Romania! Congratulations to the athletes from Făgărășeni! (Ștefan BOTORAN)
