A road accident, resulting in material damage, was recorded on Thursday, November 5 this year, on a street in Făgăraș. The checks carried out by the police led to a 72-year-old man from the municipality of Făgăraș, who got behind the wheel with a suspended license. In addition, when testing with the breathalyzer, the device showed a value of 0.73 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
- ” The investigation established that he had carried out an intervention to repair a malfunction in a vehicle, followed by verifying the intervention by starting it, at which point he had lost control and damaged another legally parked vehicle. Following the inspection and database query, the police found that the man had a suspended driving license as a result of other traffic violations. The driver was also tested with a breathalyzer, the result indicating a value of 0.73 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air ,” the Brașov IJP announced.
Also on November 5, at around 01:45, police officers from the Hoghiz Rural Police Station, while carrying out specific traffic police activities, stopped, for inspection, a car that was driving on county road 131C in Augustin commune. While checking the legality of the documents, after identifying the 19-year-old driver, the police officers found that the car did not have the right to drive on public roads, because it was not registered.
The police have drawn up criminal cases in relation to the commission of the crimes of driving a vehicle without a driving license, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and putting into circulation or driving an unregistered vehicle, and the investigations are to be continued by the police under the coordination of the case prosecutors within the competent prosecution units, following which legal measures will be ordered upon their completion.
